from one Foxx to another-two masters of the gentle melancholic masterpiece -both found from friends nudges 'you'll LOVE these guys' and both seem to exist very much in their own delicate universe -see also Bridget st John, sandy denny, bill Callahan, jimmy Campbell;mark eitzel etc-i have my LPs in a vague kinda genres way-some are easy-english 60s psych, pop, freakbeat etc next to american 60s garage, pop, psych (comps at the end of course) but the ever growing and much treasured bottom left section is for sad song artisans-the Ian Mathews, judee sill, bergen white, jim Sullivan and so on-i reach for those guys happily and tenderly and they reciprocate by putting there gentle arms around me
